"Potential Pierces Possibility" - $500(ATLANTA :: 21 Nov. 2008) After selling her piece, "Birth," for ARTvision in 2006, Brenda Knosher returns in 2008 with "Potential Pierces Possibility," which marries stunning materials of all stripes to create artistic variety.
"This piece involves 10k gold foil, glass beads, sand, ink, various papers and acrylic paint on canvas," she says. "Having a background in sculpture, I now like to paint using texture and depth.
"The inspiration for this piece arose out of the mystery of my unconscious," she adds. "As I was in the midst of creating it I came to the realization that it was familiar… Later the same day, while meditating, I recognized it was a culmination of several journeys into my unconscious over the past few years. It is a place of peace and promise that holds the gems from the past and the hope of the future. In the vast sea of possibility, there arises that for which we have potential. It is up to us to choose to manifest that which is our unique potential. When we do, we rise up, more of who we truly are."
