A folk-art image in soft, pastel tones

For the first time, ARTvision welcomes a gorgeous piece of art donated by an outside collector. Our great friend
Jim Sacco is offering an untitled piece from Harold Crowell - a heralded North Carolina-based artist who, in the case of “Untitled,” took a break from standard painting to create a pastel-on-paper gem in a custom frame. A representing NC gallery says Crowell’s artist vision is a truthful representation of his surroundings.

His large acrylic works are bright, joyful and pleasing to the eye. Themes from Harold's life include family, friends and people he has met, scenes from nature and places he has seen. His brilliant imagination combined with his natural talent for design and color, create an exceptional artist.Harold's artwork was chosen for the first National Exhibition of Art for people with a mental handicap in Ebensburg, Pa., and represented the United States for international competition in London. His work was also chosen to represent North Carolina for the opening of the Very Special Arts Gallery in Washington, DC.

Jim Sacco works in the field of HIV prevention, training, counseling and many other consulting areas. (read more) He is one of Positive Impact’s earliest advising psychologists and is an avid art collector - sharing one of his pieces with us for the benefit of PI. He is also a psychotherapist in private clinical practice.

“The success of Positive Impact exceeded what any of us dreamed that Sunday afternoon it was first discussed,” he says. “The passion and commitment of the agency's founders and the original Board and staff cannot be emphasized enough. These heroes laid the foundation for a series of extraordinary staff and volunteers to change the lives of thousands of people impacted by HIV. Our community has been changed forever by Positive Impact. I am honored to be a supporter.”

Untitled” is offered to ARTvision buyers for a donation to Positive Impact of $750.
