Vicky Croisant rejoins ARTvision with “Rojo’s Day Out,” another peek into her up-close-and-personal vantage point at the Akron (Ohio) Zoo.
“This photo was taken on June 1, 2008,” she says. “Rojo, the male Sumatran tiger, was exploring the exhibit at the Akron Zoo for the very first time. He made a thorough check of his surroundings and then settled down to relax. With the angle of this photograph, you see no fence lines or other containment features, making it look like the tiger is wild, not captive.”
