ARTvision Artist: Jenny Krasner

Jenny Krasner works in digital photography and mixed media constructions. Krasner received her B.F.A. and M.A. from Oxford University and her M.F.A. from Columbia University. Selected exhibitions include: The Bronx Museum, The Jersey City Museum and The Trenton Museum. Krasner is the recipient of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation Grant and was recently featured in the New York Foundation for the Arts "The Current" online newspaper. Seven of her collaborative works are now being featured in the quarterly, New Orleans Review.

"The daily theater that transpires around me is so wrought with tragedy, irony, love and passion, that creating art about my own present circumstances and current events is enough material to last an entire lifetime," she says. "These mixed media wall reliefs incorporate pen and ink handwritten short stories, digitally scanned objects and photographs, found and bought objects, oil and acrylic paint, charcoal, pastel and gouache."

Jenny has lectured at Emory University in Atlanta and has recently been published in the New Orleans Review with collaborator Heather Sellers in a work entitled Seven Collaborations.

With a bounding wit and unstoppable energy, Jenny has been a prized Atlanta resident. She offers a number of other prints -- "Cactus," "Mermaid Parade," "Tuscon," and "Kettle of Fish" -- for your consideration! The images are all approximately 13"x9" with a white border.

The first-purchased piece of this group of photographs, all exclusive choices to ARTvision buyers, will represent the 100% donation. Jenny has graciously arranged to have a 25% donation for all pieces purchased through ARTvision thereafter. Happy shopping! - WP
